What
is a Kettlebell?
A kettlebell is a resistance training tool that
looks like a cannonball with a suitcase handle.
KBell training originated in Russia and is “back to
basics” training that is effective, challenging,
exhilarating and fun!
What
benefits will I see from KBell training?

KBell training has similar fat burning and endurance
benefits as traditional forms of cardio (light
jogging, aerobics, spinning classes).

KBells help to simultaneously develop strength,
co-ordination, muscular endurance and cardiovascular
stamina.

This form of training is very functional and works
the body as a unit. There are carry over benefits to
many other sports and activities such as hockey,
football, martial arts, running, etc.

workout can be completed in 30 minutes or less-Very

to improve posture. With KBell training, movement
patterns are trained to reduce the risk of falls and
fractures and to keep the joints healthy. Resistance
training helps to maintain bone density and prevent
osteoporosis.
Finally, something a little
different! I must say when I first saw the
Kettlebell I was a little sceptical. One workout
session later I was sold! It is a workout that truly
focuses on core, simple tool but with endless
exercise possibilities and varying degrees of
difficulty. After that first workout session I
remember being so impressed with how much I could
feel all the muscles from my chest down to my lower
abs. Isn't that exactly what we want?
I'm a busy career woman who had a baby a couple
years ago. I had been fit all my life but struggled
with finding the time to work out, so the inevitable
happened-I was out of shape. The legs and the arms
are always active, even when we aren't working out,
so they are the easiest to get back into shape. The
core body and in particular the torso - not so much!
Well the kettlebell is perfect for this.
I am truly excited about this new addition to my
workout routine! I just purchased pair of Kbells for
my home and am in education mode on all the things I
can do with them. I have to really be organized to
fit in the time for a workout in my busy life and
these new additions really help me make the most of
the time I have. Give them a try - I think you will
